I got a message from Axis that they will shift results down by 1 with the 2 surp points. So on to AA which screens 1 point. CW will choose to abort Graf Spee which rolls a 3 for defense and is aborted. Not the result the RN was hoping for but at least the Swordish squadron can buzz back to CV Courageous with something to show for the mission flown.

US shuffles some ships from west to east coast.
RN sends Hermes CV TF into E Med 3 box, and sends 3 cp's from Port Said into Arabian Sea.

Bomber command sends a Wellington strat bombing mission to Berlin and the mission goes very well, reducing the Reich's production by 2 PP's.

Rail move
France: MIL from Bordeaux to Paris
USSR: MECH from Poland 54,51 to 38,94 (56 hexes east)
CW: MIL rails Delhi to Calcutta - have to protect one of the most partisan-vulnerable hexes in the game, mon dieux!!! :)

Land moves:
France moves units within France to increase the strength of its front line against Panzers.
USSR:
Move 3 chicom units to strengthen the defense around Si-an
Ski div from 69,76 to 71,77
ART from 56,54 to Chisinau

CW:
Gort moves to Boulogne
TER moves toward Asyut in Egypt
MOT debarks at St-Nazaire

Chinese continue to retreat around Kweiyang

No attacks.

Rebase:
France:
Bomber to 56,30
Fighter MS 406 to woods in 56,31

CW:
Harrow->London
Belgian FTR interns in Angola

German forces occupy Brussels and advance up to the French border in Belgium.

The German-Italian Algerian Army debark in the Bone area (1 German INF, 1 DIV, and 1 Italian MIL).

Japan rebase the NAV2 in Chihkiang to Chengchow, and the LND2 in Nanning to hex 87,136.

Italy rebase the LND3 in La Spezia to southern Sicily.

Germany rebase 3 FTR2, and 1 FTR3, closer to the French border.

End of Turn

No partisans.

I rolled for the German-USSR markers.

I put the Soviet marker on defence. This can be changed if Allies so wishes.

German put one on offence and one on defence.

German end of turn orders:

All German CPs stay at sea.

German units in the Med returns as Italy orders.

Germany reorganize all units except BB (Schleswig-Holstein) and TRS for 1 oil (1.4) in Berlin.

Production:

Germany (12):
INF
2 x FTR2
FTR3
Pilot

If the Belgian ship gets captured by Axis it is turned over to Italy.

The partisans in NEI do not destroy the oil!

Reinforcements:

Germany:
FTR2 (He 100) -> Aachen
LND2 (Ju87D - 6 strength) -> Cologne
LND2 (Ju87D - 5 strength) -> Saarbrucken

Trade:
Germany modifies the trade agreement to Italy to 2 resources and no oil.

Axis go first if we win the initiative. No re-roll.

40 MA EOT:

TRS TF carrying MIL successfully runs the SUB blockade of Malta.

CW oil situation is critical. The loss of NEI oil along with the lack of lending by US to CW (only 1 per turn currently) means that CW cannot reorg all units and must burn all saved oil this turn. Next turn will probably be worse so CW has to be very judicious about which ships will sail. :(

EDIT: CW decides instead to leave about 15 ships disorganized and save 1 oil for next turn to oil critical units because most of the oil next turn will be trade oil. What a mess.

Axis sub spend surprise points priority

2) IF needed Increase Naval column chart until D/X appears. But if possible save 3 points to Choose target.
3) Select target, choose Trs/Amph for X/D.
4) IF points left reduce own damage down to A.

That is what I call ground strike. With these dice I should have sent bomber to some other hex, most likely 2 enemy fighters would have been destroyed and some ground units flipped.

Quite refreshing. Now that the French have stopped making a nuisance of themselves it is time to act.

I have a plan. It is brilliant. It has been used so many times before that no-one will expect us to use it.

France has two fighters available to intercept the incoming German, and Italian, bombers. France also has one AA battery on standby that can fire on one of the raids.

Germany, Italy, and Hungary, has 6 fighters and one fighter-bomber on standby for counter-interception.

How will France proceed?
