Not even the Japanese can do a proper port strike. Allies rolled 8 and Axis 5.

One Italian CP and one CA leave La Spezia for the Western Mediterranean. The CA embark one German division from the Algerian coast.

Steve decided that it was halved by rivers.

There is also another change:
Each Corps sized panzer adds +0.5 to the attack.
Each Division sized panzer adds +0.25 to the attack.

Normal MWIF rounding applies, so +0.5 rounds to +1.

So if no other modifications apply, then one MECH is enough for +1 to the attack, (+0.5 rounded to +1)

1 Corps +0.5, rounded +1

1 Div +0.25, rounded 0
1 Corps and 1 Div +0.75, rounded +1


Attacking across river:
1 Corps +0.25, rounded 0
2 Corps +0.5 , rounded 1
1 Div +0.125, rounded 0
1 Corps and 1 Div +0.375, rounded 0

Defence:
1 Corps -1
2 Corps -2
1 Corps and 1 Div -1.5, I do not recall seeing this variant although I think it is rounded up to -1.

Attack vs Defence.
1 Corps +0.5 VS 1 defending Div -0.5 = 0
2 Corps +1 vs 1 defending Div -0.5 = +0.5, rounded +1
1 Corps +0.5 vs 1 defending Corps -1 = -0.5 rounded to 0 (pretty sure about this one)
1 Corps and 1 Div +0.75 vs 1 defending div -0.5 = +0.25 rounded +0

Attack across river vs defence
2 ARM Corps +0.5 vs 2 MECH -2 = -1.5 and I think this as usual rounds to -1


Edit: Beware, I can have made some mental errors when I made the examples. But I do hope that the principle is shown.

Also note that Steve decided that the size of a paradropping unit matter.

A PARA Corps making a air drop is +1. But a PARA division making a air drop is +05. This might not make a difference because of rounding, but other modifications can make the difference important.
