Hi

Have anyone made a Scenario using Japanese names instead of the Allied code names.
Or do i have to make it myself?

Cheers

I recall some screens with Hayabusa, and Zeke, so probably it was done. Although I don't remember actual mod author. El Cid maybe?

I don't think it's in Sid's mod. I'm playing it now and I haven't seen those names....GP

Heh, maybe Nemo? But he had 4E Japanese bomber named Angel, so probably also not his mod. I vaguelly recall seeing this in AAR, but probably long ago. Maybe the one with French Navy?

My mod used Japanese names in an early version, but feedback suggested that it creates confusion since Allied code names are much more familiar. So I went with Allied code names but added the Japanese name when space permitting. I may go back to purely Japanese names for my personal use.

In the Reluctant Admiral and Scraps of Paper mods, most Japanese Naval squadrons use the aircraft type as a descriptor, e.g., Akagi's airgroup looks like this:

Akagi Kansen (Fighters)
Akagi Kanbaku (Dive Bombers)
Akagi Kanko (Torpedo Bombers)
