When someone clicks "report" in a thread, I get a blank message. Has something gone pear shaped that I missed? You can PM me or send an e-mail.

Bill

I might have done it accidentally. There are times I am on the site using my Kindle and it is easy to inadvertently tap in the wrong place. I will try and leave a message to that effect when I do so you know.

If it was me, I blame it on FAT FINGERS!

It definitely was not from since I have an alcohol problem - I haven't had any for well over a year.

I assume there is a reason 'Report' doesn't let the reporter know that a blank email is sent.

I bet the report came from Graffin Zeppelin, after she saw Chickenboy's self-portrait.

I hope you are kidding. Bill has kindly volunteered to moderate this forum and sending him annoying spam on purpose could make him less inclined to help us. Besides, he knows more about aircraft than anyone else I can name on the forum, and contributes a lot to discussions.

The feature is broken. I talked to Slitherine support and there are plans to change the forum software this fall to something newer and more robust, so they aren't bothering to fix it.

clearly the faulty report feature needs to be reported.

And form a committee to investigate the formation of committees.

When I was a member of the faculty at an Ivy-league University [redacted], I was gang-pressed into being the Chair of The Committee on Committees. Duties consisted of begging faculty from every walk of life to serve on committees of their interest. It was worse than herding cats. It was like herding alerted feral cats that wanted nothing to do with you. I dutifully served my year term and then, post-drinking binge to clear the bureaucracy from my system, quickly resigned.

Oh no. There's 'bureaucratic symptoms' and there's being the Chair of the Committee on Committees. One is a mild irritation, the other is incompatible with long-term sanity.

I would never counsel a forumite to be ignorant. I think being dismissive is OK though ...

Chickenboy is right about the unhealthiness of serving on a Committee on Committees. His experience was in the academic world, which is probably the perfect storm of undesirable life situations. My service on a committee on committees has been limited to the church environment. To mix that kind of hellishness into a religious environment is the height of irony. Why any church would have a committee on committees is unfathomable.

I fail to see what is offensive about this image of Chickenboy. After all we live in America and people are free to play guitar and shoot guns if they so desire..........

Oh no...I can only imagine Canoerebel has an idea in his head that will ave catastrophic consequences for this forum and Chickenboy's modesty.
