If an AMRAAM goes active without getting guidance updates from its launching platform it will not guide onto a target or new target with its own radar.

Save/scen provided, watch the AIM-120C's as they pass the Rafaels without locking when the F-35's radar isn't illuminating them.

EDIT: Looks like this is user error, the AIM-120's seeker head sometimes tracks and other times it doesn't because the Rafael is giving it a bad attack angle! I tested it on larger targets like the B-52 and they tracked with no problems! This game never fails to amaze me
