Is it implemented in the game the capability to target multiple cities (or whatever) with a single MIRVed missile so as its RVs are distributed between them when deployed?

Or is it currently beyond the game capabilites and MIRVs can only acts as MRVs?

If it is indeed possible I found myself unable to fing the procedure to do so.

Hi,

Currently you cannot manually assign all MIRVs. What happens is that you assign your primary target to the missile as a whole (and implicitly to the first RV), and then the AI assigns the other RVs to other targets within the missile's footprint.
The nature of the other targets is dictated by your primary selection. The AI will try to match your selection type as closely as possible. So for example if you target a HAS in an airbase, the AI will assign the other RVs to other shelters in the base. If it cannot, it will settle for other military targets in the same area. etc. Only if there are no other valid targets in the footprint area, the remaining RVs will be assigned to the primary target in a shotgun fashion.

OK, is the missile's footprint marked somewhere in the DB sheet, so I can know beforehand if a facility near the primary target is gonna be targeted or not?
Or do I have to learn it by trial an error in a test bed?

IIRC the footprint is currently hardcoded as 350nm downrange / 250nm cross-range (figures are based at public-domain data from Trident-II tests).

OK, thank you very much for the clear and prompt answers, lots of developers could learn something about community building from you.
