Hi! I was playing a little test scenario when I noticed something odd.

A pair of A-7E Corsair were airborne with the intention of destroying a ground radar. The radar had a large ambiguity zone. I click the radar contact to see the detection list. It shows me a detection by a "Passive Radar Seeker" on the Corsairs. When I click it, no sensor in the DB entry is highlited. Also, the Compass Tie RWR didn't register anything.

Just wanted to give you a heads up, guys! Happy hunting!

Also, the mission save, pre-HARM launch.

Hi,

Interesting edge case. This happens when the detection is made with a loadout-specific sensor, in this case (guessing without having looked at the save yet) the passive seeker on the HARM itself. (Another example of this is the Maverick when carried by the A-10).

This brings up a good question: How should the detecting sensor be indicated in such a case?

My instintive answer would be to highlight the weapon that carries the sensor. Not on the loadout, bit on that big list of all the weapons the aircraft carries. Or opening the DB entry of the weapon, if it has already launched.

(BTW, is it normal for the Compass Tie to not pick up anything?)

Thanks for the reply!
