Western Allies. PTO. Land Combat. Kobe, Japan. Kobe holds by 1 ... that is a roll of 1 higher would had have eliminate both defending Japanese units.

An attempted airborne drop by the US was forced to turn back by heavy Japanese AA fire.

Turkey. A little bit of "clean up" as both the Western Allies and Soviets race to claim German controlled hexes. Also, the Western Allies take care to position key units so that they can be railed.

Soviet Asia. Soviet clean-up in Soviet Asia is finished. All resources and hexes captured by the Japanese have been liberated by the Soviets and are now back (again) under their control.

The Soviets can do one more thing in this war: Strat bomb Japan. Or even do ground strikes. They have some planes with the range.

Red Army Air Force planes can even base in Korea and in Japan. Too bad the USSR didn't have the foresight to build some sealift in 1944 - they'd have been able to participate in the invasion! Of course, they had other, much more pressing priorities at the time.

Yes. That's the plan. However, the Western allies are adamant that no Soviet ground or air troops will be allowed in Japan.

Again, the allies will not allow any Soviet troops to deploy to Japan. Soviet air support is welcomed and even encouraged by the Red Army. Their pilots need the training and it doesn't hurt to put Soviet air power on display. But, no display of air power yet has rivaled the 79 factors of ground support provided by the RAF and USAAF for the allied assault on Ankara, Turkey. Now that was impressive indeed.

USN/RN. China Sea. The supply convoy in the China Sea avoids detection by the allies owing to rain (i.e., would have been found with the allied search roll of 6 in fine weather).

USN/RN. Sea of Japan. The supply convoy in the Sea of Japan isn't so lucky. It's found and used as live target practice for allied carrier and naval land based air crews.

Weather. The weather remains the same in the north temperate (i.e., where Japan, China Sea and Sea of Japan are located) but worsens everywhere else. Though, the only action now is in the north temperate.
