ORIGINAL: Courtenay Why did the US take two D's on the same submarine? If there is one thing the US has, it's build points; two build points, and both subs are right back in the fight. Now one is out for at least a year. Although taking both D's on the speed 4 submarine would have made sense. Speed 4 submarines aren't worth any build points. The first D risk, which resulted in damage, was chosen by the US during a sub combat. The next D risk, which sunk the sub group, was chosen by the Japanese during a naval air in the next round. If the US had had their way this D would have gone on the other sub group, but Japan was choosing. quote:
ORIGINAL: Centuur What's also a strange thing is giving the Italian ships to the US after conquest. The Italian ships all have short range and after you repaired them, they take at least a whole turn to move out of the US to the sea area's where the battles are. If you gave them to the CW, they can still be repaired by US build points, but arrive in the UK, much closer to the European frontlines, freeing longer range CW BB's for action against the Japanese. O.K. Thanks. I choose the US because later in the game the US will likely use a super-combine every turn. So, I believe these ships once repaired will see action, or at least duty, every turn under the US flag.
