Western Allies. PTO. China Sea (2/2). Allies are unable to find and sink Japanese supply convoys to Formosa. With Formosa in supply and rain in the area amphibious landings are called off for now.

Western Allies. MTO (1/2). Rome. Two bad the allied forces in Italy didn't follow the example of their brethren in Turkey. Caught up in victory fever allied forces in Italy make an all out attempt to capture Rome which fails miserably.

I think in neither a multi-player game, and certainly not in history, would the Russians have been content to let the Americans control Istanbul, had it been part of the Axis.
