M/J 40 Allies 10

No DoW or alignments

Land: China
Naval: France, CW
Combined: US, USSR.

The French send 4 CA/CL's from Beruit to East Med 3-box. They are joined by 3 more from Marseilles. 2 CA's sail to West Med 4-box.

The RN sends 4 CA from Aden and 4 from Gib' to East Med 3-box. They are joined by the Repulse from Alex'. 2 CP's sail from Gib' to the East Med 0-box. 2 CL's from Alex join them. A CP sails from Bombay to Suez.

To save time, I declined intercepts as fairly obvious what was happening.

The RN initiates searching with one of the CL's in the 0-box. The forces fail to find each other (Allies 5, Axis 6).

No air missions.

The Communists rearrange their defences.

USSR puts marker to defence.

US puts a chit in the Ja pool. An embargo on strategic materials to Japan is called. It's met with some hostility in Japan (5 rolled, 1 chit to tension pool).

CW keeps the CV/BB's in the North Sea and various escorts in the Atlantic. The French keep various escorts out in the Med. Ships in East Med go to Alex, those in West Med to Gib. Queens take Cape Town MIL to Singapore.

Oil use.

US - 0 (0.4 to reorg all).
CW - 4 (4.1 to reorg all).
France - 1 (0.75 to reorg all)
USSR - 1 (0.6 to reorg all)

CW scraps 4 destroyed CL's.

Not enough BP's for the German shopping list. It's short by 2. Did you want to build 2 pilots instead or drop something else?

Edit: Never mind. Gearing limits only allow 2 pilots. I've gone with that.

I quite like this view of a tension chit, never thought about it that way.

Declaration of War and Alignments: None, although the Japanese apply diplomatic pressure on the CW to close the Burma Road. The US are not interested (8 thrown).

Japan: Combined
Germany: Land
Italy: Land

Port Attack: None
Naval Air: None

Naval Movement:
Japan

1. The 1st Motorised Army heads for Pakhoi
2. Two empty TRS head home.

Strategic Bombing: None
Ground Strike:

1 and 2. A Ju-87B and He111-H3 head for Warsaw

That's interesting. The program allowed me to put 1 die roll in only...

I'll re-start the turn and try again.

It may be because having disorganised the only organised unit with the first roll, there is nothing left that can be targeted.

Looks like upgrading to 3.9.5 was a mistake....

Same result. Only one unit should be disorganised - but both are - and the program didn't even bother recording the last 3 throws.

AllenK can you have a go using your save please in case mine is corrupted in some way? Thanks.

Edit: Just seen your post - are you saying one unit was disorganised already? How come?

I think it's working fine. The HQ was previously disorganised. I haven't been able to reorganise it as there is no path to an oil source.

Allied: A 15 is rolled (AA) do you want to abort the fighter or bomber?

Right I can't save the game at this point and AllenK doesn't appear to be on line. So I will abort the bomber.

Axis: An 11 is rolled (DC) which clears the French bomber through.
