Naval Air:

A Z501 heads for the 4-box of the Italian Coast

Germany

A He-115C does the same to the 3-box

Naval Movement:
Italy

An Italian convoy heads for the Italian Coast - do the British and French subs want to intercept?

I can't see AllenK online so in order to move things along I say yes with the worst submarine (in terms of factors and sea-box)

Naval Search:
Allied 10 (I did a roll for the Axis too but of course is not needed for interception).

The convoy remains in the Italian Coast 0-box and the Italians decline to initiate combat.

The CW are asked if they wish to?

I used your worst French sub to initiate. The Axis bring in no aircraft - the CW has a Beaufighter in Malta - will this fly?

It can and does.

The Rolls are:
Allied: 7
Axis: 4

The Axis find. I choose the 3-box containing two CW submarines. I have a choice of avoiding combat or using my surprise points to possibly destroy a submarine. The plan was to avoid the subs so I refuse combat.

Allied: 15 (DA) Germany must decide what to abort. I have little choice but to go with the bomber.
Axis: 11 (DC) There is no CW bomber to clear so effectively no effect.

Air to Air Combat - Round 2

Allied: 6 (AA) The CW decides which aircraft to abort. I think its safe to assume the bomber.
Axis: 3 (AX) The Spitfire is shot down, the pilot survives.

All pass except France, combined.

The French sub initiates combat in the Italian Coast.

The Italians can fly a CR.42 from Genoa to the 0-box. Does it fly?

J/A 40 Allies 8

No DoW or alignments

Land: France
Combined: CW
Pass: The rest

CW sub initiates search in Italian Coast.

I decline the Italian air support on the basis they didn't fly last impulse under the same circumstances.

Searches: Allies 10, Axis 3. Axis only find. Since Warspite1 isn't around, to move things on, I'll use the surprise points to avoid combat as that's been the choice each time in this situation.

CW and France adjust the defences a bit.

No combats.

CW rebases Hurricane from Cardiff to Lille.

Gort reorgs the MOT in Brussels.

Turn creeps into another impulse. Less than 3 needed and rolled a 3.

Weather

Remains the same.
