Germany gets to have the experience of fighting a three-front war in the spring and summer.

Good thing two of the fronts are against Poland and Yugoslavia. Too bad about those mountains, though.

What really happened was Father Coghlin had Charles Lindbergh on to his radio programme where they each declared this to be "Fake News" and really only a minor controversy over the living quarters of the deposed Kaiser. Nothing to see here, move along.

I make a bit of a boo boo with the Para's. The CW add the notional (which stops it being an Automatic attack).

I'm asked about CAP for the Chinese again. Does anyone know why this is being offered or am I going mad and we always use it? Thanks.

You might have it switched on. In the interface there is the option to skip the CAP phase.

Germany
The Luftwaffe bring in a bomber to each of the two Dutch hexes. The main attack should be enough with fractionals now.

Japan
The Japanese do not fly. They are only one point off 4:1 so the chances of increasing to 5:1 is pretty remote.

Edit: Oh plop. Another mistake. I forgot the aircraft are doubled on surprise. That's a bit of a waste of a Stuka.

And so to the combat itself. I'll take in the order that the program throws up:

Japan

This is a 3:1+1 and almost certainly 4:1+1 after fractionals. I assume Assault on the basis there is no retreat path.

1) Go to "Command"
2) Select "Disable phases"
3) Select China
4) Make sure that all the CAP steps are marked
5) Select "ok"

See picture.

The Japanese fractional throw failed. The roll was 4(5) and its one loss each. All Japanese are disorganised and the Japanese lose their Engineer. I assume the Chinese lose the MIL.

...and having done so, the game gets stuck
