This a morale boost to German spear head! To French, not so much.

9 build points worth of French planes and pilots come down in flames...

How is this possible? I forgot to bring that GAR again from Denmark... It's OK, France stands alone and I roll horrible weather or turn ends.

Land move
ComChi retreats, Sian MIL heads deeper to east.

One Natchi unit moves adjacent to Wuhan.

CW swaps units in Belgia/Lille.

France sends one unit from Alps towards Paris.

Rebase
CW fighter from Belgia to Dover.

France sends fighter and fighter-bomber from south to north.

Turn does not end (5)

Weather is perfect for the Axis.

No that's okay - I changed it hoping you had not executed, but I wouldn't ask you to re-do if you had.

May/Jun 1940
Impulse: 9 (Axis)

Declarations of War and Alignments: None

Japan: Land
Germany: Combined
Italy: Land

Port Attack: None
Naval Air: None

Naval Movement:
Germany

A small task force (1 x BB and 2 x PB) takes up position in the Baltic Sea 4-box. They decline to initiate combat.

Strategic Bombing: None
Ground Strike: None

Rail Movement: None
Land Movement:
Japan

The Japanese move against the Sian MIL in the north and a marine unit takes Taiyuan (Congress have taken up summer quarters at No.52 Couldn't Care Less Crescent - a 10 is thrown).

Germany

The Germans re-position in Belgium

Land Combat:
Italy

The Italians make a move in the Alps. A NAV is brought in to make the odds 14.5:8 (3:2)

Germany

The Germans target a French MIL in Belgium. The odds are 36:4 (7:1) and so automatic unless the French bring in their bomber. The Germans have the fighter you can see in the picture to counter-intercept with. What do the French want to do?

Japan

The Japanese force in the north attack the Sian MIL. The odds are 7:1 (automatic)

So there are 3 attacks - two are automatic (China and Belgium) and the third is a 14.5:8 (3:2)+1 in the alpine mountains.

What table do the French wish to use?

Land Combat:
Italy

The fractionals succeed (140 is thrown). The land throw is a 3 and the Italians lose a unit (the division is destroyed), with all disorganised for no loss to the French.

Scares for the CW in Burma and India but the peasants revolt was suppressed in both cases

Mayhemizer can you look out for the German oil position please? Once again there is something really weird happening. On the May/Jun 1940 Impulse 8 (and 9) the Germans have 7 in Berlin and 2 in Lodz = 9. The Germans spent one more than they saved in this current production round. But the Germans now have just 4 oil!!!!! Italy and Japan seem fine - but goodness knows what is going on in Germany....

Just to confirm it's not me going mad......

Let's only do editing as a last resort yes? I can't understand how this has happened so I will re-do too. The only thing I did differently was ticked the box that allows other nations oil to be included - just to see what that was all about - but I unticked it so shouldn't have caused an issue....

There is something wrong or weird with production.

CW productions shows that Newcastle Australia resource should go to Montreal, but it's not going. I have unused CPs on Pacific. losing that one resource does not effect my BPs, so I let it be this time.

Germany has 8 oils saved just like it should be.
Japan has 12 oils saved just like it should be.
Italy has only 3 (because of last turn end problems).

I will edit file now at the start of the turn to give Italy one oil and CW one oil (I had to use one saved oil to production this turn end, Australian resource refused to go to Canada).

We've upgraded to the latest version. This is deeply disappointing.... Let's hope the editing doesn't cause further problems down the line...

Don't forget Italy is also owed an oil from the last end of turn too (see post 387).

Allied 4, Axis 5.

CW chooses only box 3.

CW uses all 2 points to negate AA fire.

Result is A. CW targets that to CA Admiral Hipper, CA is aborted.

Allies Stay, I believe Axis stay to the bitter end?
