I collect cash. It's a hobby of mine

I also collect books. Library was over 9400 last time I indexed it.
And PC games. I am closing on a hundred now, but some are to old.

I seriously don't know what to do with them all. Nobody seems to want books anymore. It's all e-readers. I have an instruction in my will to donate to the library, or give them to a used bookstore.

Aside from the obvious two (PC games and board games)...

I love collecting music (mostly Heavy Metal) -- CDs, vinyl, and even tapes. It all takes up a lot of space and I probably have more hours of music than I do free time for the rest of my life

I remember doing that in the pre-internet days. I couldn't find a copy of "The Handbook on German military forces" anywhere but the local library, so I said I lost it and paid $25.
Interestingly its a copy from 1975 with the German eagle in the inside cover, something the newer version with Steven Ambrose's intro lacks.

I buy wargames to play them, but It´s turning out that for the most part I end up collecting them because I don´t have much time to learn new rules every month. In other words, don´t know If I´ll ever get to play them all! Same goes with books. I do enough reading on screen, so at my age I rather read on paper if I can. Music is different, I love to FIND old LP´s and buy them at good prices, then I just pull out any LP I never heard of and have a listen.

WW2 computer games, mainly tactical operational and grand strategy primarily land-based titles.

And of course, Barbie Dolls, China Dolls, Teddy bears, Models (****loads of models), I have for instance 4 scales of Panther tank, 4 scales of Jagdpanther tank, 3 scales of most of the primary tanks of WW2. A lot of 72nd scale WW2 aircraft, and a very large naval collection in 1/700 and 1/350th scale. Plus a lot of Lego, half Creator 3in1 sets and the other half Friends sets (the ones for girls). As you can imagine, my shelves are epic.

You can't see the army of teddy bears to the right, or the 35th scale models, or the teddy bears to the left, and the 25th scale armour and the 48th scale armour. But check out my Lego Tiger tank in the lower left and my Sailor Moon Funko Pop animation figures.

Once upon a time I had a massive military reference library. Hundreds of hardcover reference.
Got rid of it though. Eventually, you can go too deep into all that ugly knowledge. I traded it all in for romance novels (this is where you cringe). You don't even want to know the dollar value I turfed.

My wife had a large collection of dolls. She finally gave them away after the grandkids told her that every time they come by the dolls scare them.

I was hoping to collect the Europa Series of war games but, having got all the Collector Series they brought out, the company appeared to go out of business - so sadly that never panned out

I don't think I collect anything as such but buy lots of books and listen to music all the time. I also buy war games from time to time.

I collect music CDs and LPs. I hate musicians due to having musician neighbours so I try to buy them used whenever possible.
Here is a list of albums I own.

I collect books. I ran out of shelf space this year. I collect mostly illustrated/hardcover editions, mangas, comic books, art albums and military history/science books.

I used to collect old games with boxes and manuals until getting seriously into Command Ops made me focus on modern games in 2013.
The end state of the collection:
Discworld 2
Alien Breed: Tower Assault
Fallout
Fallout 2
Icewind Dale
Baldur's Gate 2
Icewind Dale: Heart of Winter
Arcanum
Neverwinter Nights

Gunship (in 2009 - it was the first retrogame I bought intentionally, not a game that I bought soon after release)
Project Stealth Fighter
Silent Service
Wasteland (gatefold box but no manuals)
Pool of Radiance
Laser Squad
Syndicate
Patriot
Fire-Brigade
Hero Quest
Space Crusade
Darklands
Seal Team (reedition box)
Ultima V (lacks a few manuals)
Dreadnoughts Plus (reedition box)
Armada
Waterloo
Austerlitz
Solo Flight
War in Middle Earth (the last one bought in 2012 just before my life collapsed and I couldn't afford to continue buying old games. Year later I seriously got into Command Ops which I bought in 2011 and it sort of eclipsed all the old games for me.)

At my age (72), I collect a lot of flies. Also I collect Corvettes, such as a 60, 62, 64 47, 86, 2006 and a 2009 Z06. My property collects a lot of leaves and pine needles/pollen. Someday, the flies will reign supreme.
