Status: offline 		Japan is not doing great. Still missing crucial techs like anti-sub, anti-air and better fighters. One level of ground attack weapons would be very useful too. And another level of Spying...

Italian troops enter Alexandria. As soon as Cairo can be secured, Germany will leave operations in the Middle East to Italy.

German troops mass on the Soviet border. All is quiet in China.

Germany gets 4 new panzer units. Everything is ready for the invasion of the Soviet Union next month, weather permitting.

Japan gets infantry tech 2.

Bad weather (rain, snow, even mud?) postpones the attack on Russia another month.

Italian forces clash with a British armored unit on the Sudanese border. Italy will try to establish links with its colonies.

Status: offline 		Axis naval forces clash with Allies in the north. A Canadian destroyer is sunk. The Italian heavy cruiser Gorizia is suprised by the King George V and badly damaged.

Troop transports are spotted north of Norway! The Italian fleet is utterly mauled trying to get to them. The only British loss is one BB.

Status: offline 		Germany finally invades the USSR. The results are as expected. As usual, I mess up the fleet combat off Leningrad, sinking one CL but taking quite a few hits in the process. Soviets still have their SS and BB units.

The remains of the Italian fleet and a German CA are eliminated north of Norway. My tradition of being very poor at fleet strategy continues.

Italy starts the advance into Sudan. It will be months before we approach Khartoum.

Heavy fighting on the Dnieper river slows the German advance in the south.

The assault on the USSR continues. Sweden is at 73% Axis and we are hoping to activate Finland soon.

Japan has been quiet for a while, no longer. Japan surprise attacks and takes DEI, Malaya, New Guinea, Guam, Nauru and Hong Kong. All US forces in these territories are destroyed. Pearl Harbor is not attacked.

Status: offline 		With the US distracted Germany makes a surprise attack on Turkey. It is a bit of an impromptu attack with no air power, however, the calculation is that with Egypt taken the Allies should not be able to intervene.

We need that rail line to the Middle East!

India attacks Afghanistan, not much we can do about it.

Italy struggles with supply in Sudan.

German forces close on Ankara, Turkey should fall next month.

In northern Russia, the advance is slow. In the south the only thing holding us back is lack of supply.

Japan takes Indochina.

Status: offline 		Moscow is lightly screened, unsure about the actual defenses. Stalingrad is defended by "General Mud", one of the USSR's best generals it seems.

Germany loses a corps in a counter-attack on the Moscow front.

The Allies declare war on Persia. We were perhaps planning to do so ourselves. The situation in the Middle East is now quite interesting, but I think we should be able to turn it into an Axis advantage. (Turkey surrenders at the end of the turn).
