The Japanese fleet strikes! Well sort of, results are disappointing and we only catch a few battleships. Which leaves us open to counter-attack.

Our losses so far: One German submarine, a heavily damaged Italian BB.

Saudi Arabia surrenders to Italian forces, however the German expedition to India is heavily bombed by the US air force.

In a shameful defeat, Japan loses a carrier, 2 battleships and a destroyer. We retreat, sinking one US carrier and one battleship on the way.

The IJN loses a further 2 CVs, a BB, a CA and a submarine. The massive combined Allied fleets score a major victory.

But while Allied naval and air units are busy in Madagascar and India, all Axis air units converge on England.

India is feeling the pressure too, despite Allied heavy air units limiting German supply.

Japan loses another carrier and battleship.

Plymouth is ungarrisoned and Germany immediately exploits the opportunity. One US fighter unit is eliminated.

German income this month is 1843 MP! Nothing useful is left to produce.

The game just ridiculously favors the Axis. I've tried to comment on it but it doesn't look like it will change. 1.03 was a micro-step in the right direction.

Your opponent must be struggling to remain interested at this stage. The game really probably ended long ago. There's no coming back from a Russian surrender I reckon, even if you were playing against an Axis AI.

Maybe there's an issue with Axis being able to conquer so many nations and grab all their MP? In real life a fair amount of 'national MP' was certainly 'taken' by the occupying Germans, but it seems a bit simplistic that if France generates say 40MP as an independent nation, that it also generates 40MP for Germany when under German occupation. That scenario allows the German MP juggernaut to grow beyond fantasy. Just a thought.

Enjoying your AAR anyway!

Hi, we've agreed to play to the end. I don't think the Soviet surrender should remove garrison requirements, and clearly Germany is getting too much MP from conquests.

I agree. It would take Germany a substantial investment in MP to garrison Russia securely and would stop the snowball effect of a Russian surrender to a certain extent. Have the devs explained why they did this?

It's a tricky situation as either the USSR surrenders in total to Germany or Japan, or it can be split between them both via a Decision.

If the latter then the USSR is divided between them, but in the process it effectively disappears - which means that it can't generate Partisans. Unfortunately there is no way around this at the moment.

So if planning on playing on against a human opponent there's no harm in having a house rule to not split the USSR

The German fleet loses 2 destroyers and a lone corps is eliminated by US forces in India. Japan loses a very experienced HQ to overconfidence in China.

There is heavy fighting in India with severe losses on all sides. Japan can barely keep up with replenishments, however Germany will simply be railing in more and more troops that are sitting around in Europe and Russia.

Germany destroys several units in England, but does not yet take Manchester, the new capital.

I have the game and I'm just starting to take a look at it. Great AAR! Do you have any kind of victory condition screenshots you can show?

Cheers,
