Nowadays, it�s very common for many countries to have Multipurpose Landing Ships able to transport helicopters instead of naval aircraft due to been much cheaper and cost effective. The question is: how to place helicopters on them? Unfortunately, it doesn�t work as for Aircraft carriers and naval aircraft. Does anyone already faced the question and solved it? Any suggestions, will be appreciate.

I'm not sure how to solve this problem but I'm wondering if you gave the helicopter a secondary
icon of a naval aircraft ( that can fly aerial operations you see ). Maybe you could park it on
a ship then. ???

I found a solution:
- create a naval equipment with �Carrier� flag checked
- select helicopter equipment with �Carrier based/naval air� checked
- park your hell on your new ship.

I created several ships that can base naval air on them, including the tradition CV, CVL, LHA (USS Saipan), the Soviet �Kiev�, as well as a French Helicopter CH.

One more thing I forgot (sorry), you must use the unit icon symbol for Naval Air.

Thanks Mussey, it worked. So the solution is to make your helicopter equipment naval carrier based, adopt a naval air icon, that�s all.

Most excellent!! What I discovered is that not all aircraft or helicopters are 'flagged' as carrier eligable (even when they should be). If you know how to edit equipment, you can flag them yourself.
