I instructed a mortar to fire smoke, but it never happens.

When I look at the time it was suppose to of happened, the time has just been increased.

Status: offline 		Does it have smoke ammo left? Is it under FSCC control? Is it in range of its parent HQ?

Status: offline 		Well smoke ammo is appearing in drop down barrage list, so I guess so.

They are within HQ radius.

How do I check if they are under FSCC control ? Nothing in appears in red on unit panel.

I did in fact have a similar issue with my artillery in a different scenario recently (A Thin Tan Line, I cannot yet link to the post in the "AI artillery - help me understand" thread). The fire missions just never happened and got postponed again and again.

Eventually, after a few reloads of my savegames, the issue resolved itself and my Abbots fired normally (meaning: ineffectually ). It looks a bit random to me, but let me know if my safefile might help, too.
