If I am not satisfied with my play , win or lose, in this newest game, that is it for me. Permanent retirement to cellar.

I'm playing as the Axis vs. Helmseye as the Allies.

I made several mistakes during the first turn. I went for that mythical one turn kill on Poland and failed. I'm sure others have pulled this gambit off but not me.

I don't have the luck.

I forgot to move several Japanese units to mainland China. Although I did manage to kill one Chinese unit in return.

It does look like Poland will last more than two turns and that hurts.

Well, something good to report, for me at least. I did manage to knock Poland out this turn.

Got the units I forgot about into China. Did lose a city but after killing another unit and bringing another down by half, I don't think it will be all that disastrous. At least not to my morale that is and that is what kills me.

Carry on for now and take yer blood pressure meds.

I shall be reading , It sounds like you have as much luck as me in my last turn in my game several dice rolls went the opposite way I think the game engine just likes to wind me up.

Really nothing to report this turn. My line in China is still fluid. I have a Chinese army trapped behind my lines and I don't see it getting out. I reduced a couple of other Chinese units well below ZOC strength including his Engineer unit which I think is now down to 2 strength.

That's gonna be a big hit to replace. Someone correct me here but I do believe fortress build times are also dependent on strength? If so...replacement cost is gonna hurt some.

Still, if I had to rate to China front, I would have to give the advantage to my opponent. For now.

German troops are moving back to the west and upgrading/replacing has begun.

The Sitzkrieg has begun.

I have had so many strange events go against me, I have lost count. I have seen losses of 4 when zero is predicted. Several times. I never believe the predictor anymore. I do not have enough medication to rely on that thing and retain my sanity.

Now to figure out why so few of my units can move in China and why my air groups are at half movement in Europe.

Things are not looking good in China at all. Up and down the front my supply level is almost uniformly 2 or below. Cant move, cant rplace, getting swamped by the chinese.

Not satisfied at all with my play at all.

The current turn is Dec 19, 1940.

Last two turns have been pretty non eventful. Build up in Europe and the situation in China looks to be stable right now. My units are not getting chewed. Raiders don't seem to be doing any damage at all.

Things are not good but they are not bad either.

The allies are trying to keep a line in China by being aggressive more in movement than in attacks

The Sudanese army is on the mover move and garrisons are trying to hold the front. In France

Awaiting the inevitable

In China, I have zero, yeah, zero units with a supply level high enough to receive replacements. Had to fly my air units out of theater to replace. Haven't been able to kill a single Chinese unit the last 3 turns. Come close but cant finish off.

Raider still haven't done much if anything. One u boat is almost toast and gotten nothing in return.

Der Blitzkrieg kommt bald.

Looks like Helmseye was able to diplo Malaya into the war. Its now the 1st turn of march and that will give him even more advantage in the Pacific. Continuing to fix the mess i have in China with no supply.
Getting the HQ's into position.

I was finally able to replace a single unit to full strength and air units will return to at full strength next turn.In my opinion, China is a wash.

Looking for opportunities elsewhere now.

Raiders have done nothing at at all. Except get their butts smacked around.

Not satisfied but at least my meds are keeping me calm.

Happy day.

China is stagnant. Nothing to report for or against. Supply continues to slowly improve. Other than replacing a HQ to full strength, I am still lost as to why my supply level is so low along the front lines.

Host a heavy cruiser that was with the subs out raiding. That hunk of junk accomplished nothing anyway. Subs got 1 mpp i think.

Invasion of the west is underway, a bit earlier. Nederlands and Luxembourg are now mine. Belgium wont last next turn unless the Allied player has a counter measure. A new Panzer unit will be available each of the next three turn.

Lets see how this rolls.

Would have done a turn yesterday but I needed a refill on my blood pressure meds. One thing the last few years has taught me is that never play a game when bp is high. You make bad decisions or forget too much.

Turn is now May 24, 1940.

Invasion of the west continues. Panzers are rolling towards Paris but at a very slow pace.

China front remains stagnant.

I have not heard from my opponent for a few days. Hope all is well with him.

Just completed turn 20. June 7. 1940 and just now captured the Belgian capitol.

I made way too many mistakes to start this game. My opponent needs to do not much at all in China to keep me at bay.

Can't see much sense in continuing this game.
