So, this plane seems to be extremely useless free kill plane for the axis. Any use for these at all?

Ground attack \ support, Naval interdiction, I've even found it to work ok as a low altitude fighter or for intercepting un-escorted bombers around Sicily, Sardinia, Corsica.

Its not great, but the P-40 isn't anything to write home about either in fighter vs fighter combat - that's what your Spitfires and Mustangs are for.

You can use it as it was used historically - a stopgap ground attack aircraft in Sicily and Italy and interceptor in your rear-area Mediterranean bases (which can be reached by Axis naval patrol aircraft). Essentially, something to use in the Mediterranean while waiting for P-38s, P-47s, and P-51s to arrive.
