I think it would be great if we had custom single and multiplayer battles that ran the same way as the campaign. I.e. after each individual engagement is over, you could swap out units, pick whether you want defend or do a hasty/prepared/night attack. And to win you'd have to completely clear the enemy off the map. This mechanic works great in the campaign and I think it would be great if we could have the same in custom battles. This would add the additional element of having to manage your losses and utilizing all available units, instead of just picking your strongest units for a one-off engagement. Also, this would stop every single engagement from ending in a stalemate. Overall, I really like this game and I think it has a great potential!

Thanks for the suggestion. The plan is for players to be able to create their own "Grand Campaigns" and so this kind of back and forth could certainly happen.
