UK saves Norway from Nazi occupation but unable to set up trade? No rail or convoy routes available is the message.

Same thing happened to me in an AI game where they attacked Sweden instead of Norway. No way to trade with Sweden and Sweden has no oil, so its navy and airforce is worthless as soon as it runs out of oil. Every nations needs the ability to get some level of subsistence oil off of a generic world market or something.

Wait who attacked Sweden? The A.I.?

I'll check these countries for oil and see if I can place a convoy route to them that doesn't impact the game.

What about the UK -> Europe convoy route? Is it only to France?

It's only to France. I will have to test one from Norway to UK route

Yeah, I had the French Navy sitting off Norway and I think the AI tried to attack Norway and somehow diverted to Sweden due to the French ships getting in the way. Not sure just a guess, but I saved Sweden and am now in charge of a high production minor (50-60 per turn) with only 2 manpower and the inability to produce anything but inf due to no oil and no trading allowed.

Kind of strange how Sweden gets to trade its resources with Germany while neutral but cannot trade them once active. Would be great if they could send all that extra production to Russia for some oil.

Edit: I should mention the AI could have taken a port, but instead moved to the border with Norway after having forced the division in port to retreat. Thus I was able to re-occupy the port and bring down a full corp to keep the AI from getting a supply source. So I think it was still running the Norway script even though Norway was and is still neutral.

I'd simply add a 5 worth OIL rig to almost each country just to mirror national reserves / world trade / etcetera. (Bar colonies and Benelux)
That includes Italy.

Conquest anyhow pratically almost zero's in that income.
