I tried loading up and playing the King of the Border scenario in CMO, and sadly the UI is so slow to the point of making it unplayable. I only have this issue with this one scenario (I've played North Pacific Shootout and loaded several others including Hail Mary and have no issues). I've tried it on both the Steam version and the download version. I've tried loading the old scenario from CMANO (in CMO) and it is slow as well.
Has any one else seen something similar?

I noticed that ALL of the other file dates for the LIVE scenarios were updated to a Nov 6, 2019 date, but King of the Border was not. It still shows as last year's date. I don't know for sure, but perhaps it was somehow missed and not updated.

You can see what I mean by looking at the file dates of the scenarios/

I see what you're saying... it has a date stamp of February... everyone else is 11/14/2019.

A bit more (curious) information. I loaded the scenario into the editor. Same issue so far. I tried deleting units for the various sides... nothing. But the slowness only happens when I have the US side selected. Even selecting the Columbians (who can see all US units), performs normally. I tried deleting US units, still slow. Then, really weird, I tried to edit the briefings. The US briefing wouldn't load. I tried selecting it several times. As soon as I switched sides to Columbians again, the Columbian briefing came up (nothing there, but it came up as soon as I selected their side). Russian briefing worked fine as well. Just the US won't load. I'm wondering if the briefing has something embedded in it slowing down performance for the US side... and if there is some way I can edit it out (as I can't seem to load it in the scenario editor).

King of the Border runs fine on my end. Maybe try 'verify integrity of game files' in Steam?

Can you tell us what the date is that is associated with your scenario? That might help us.

Not sure what you mean by date... the game says:
Monday, October 28, 2019 Zulu 11:55:33
The file in the directory:
\command - modern operations\scenarios\live
has a date stamp of 2/11/2019 03:19
(all the other scenarios in this directory have a time stamp of 11:14:2019 19:44 or 19:45

Does this help, or is there some other date you are looking for?

FYI... seems to work fine as the Russian side (or if you select them in the editor, the Columbians, Venezuelans, Russians, even Merchants and Biologics). Only the US side behaves this way.

above was in the steam directory... the download install directory:
\matrix games\command modern operations\scenarios\live
are all 11/6/2019 either 01:59 or 02:00, except for king of the border which is
2/11/2019 03:19 (same as in the Steam directory)

Yes, all of the new LIVE scenarios have a file date of November 6, 2019. King has a file date of February 11, 2019, which is when it originally came out. The others all have ini files as well. King does not.

King was created and released with Database Build 475. So, if we go by what has been said, unless it was previously updated in CMANO by you to a higher database, and then switched over, Kind likely won't run very well (if at all) on CMO right now.

Keep in mind, this is only a theory, based on the dates and differences of the files, and on what overs are saying. But, King is definitely different than the other LIVE scenarios, at least for now.

I'm sure the devs will fix it. In the mean time, if you still have CMANO loaded, the open up King, convert it to the highest database (478, I think) and save it. Close CMANO, and open CMO. Open up the saved King file, and then update its version to 480. Then try the game. See if that helps.

Thanks for the insight. I tried updating the data bases as you suggest... the 475 to 478 seemed to go fine. When I updated to 480 (in CMO), though I got a bunch of errors saying that this and that aircraft don't have a loadout in the new data base (Su33s and Su34s from what I could see). That said, it did seem to update (no idea what would happen to those A/C though). Alas, no joy. Still sluggish with the US side.

All that said, when I loaded in CMANO, I noticed several no nav zones, and that they followed the boarders closely (as opposed to squared off near the boarders). The only no nav zone I actually see in CMO is the Cuban one. On a hunch, I went and "disabled" all the no nav zones in the editor, and magic! Everything works as expected (no performance issues). Re-enabled and it slows down again. So I disabled them one at a time and see that the two labeled "Zone 4" and the second one labeled "zone 5" all cause the slow down (if those 3 are off, performance is fine, if any of those 3 are on, it slows as described before). Further, while still disabled, I checked the "visible reference points" check box for the first zone 4, and what seemed like hundreds of points showed up surrounding the central American countries and performance dropped again.
So it seems that the issue with the US side is the number of "reference points" that make up the no nav zones (none of these zones exist for other players). So as my "temporary" fix, I deleted all the no nav zones for the US side, and replaced them with squared off ones that drift a short ways into the surrounding water, but not enough to alter the scenario (small gap still exists between Cuba, Haiti, and Jamaica, and the Brazil zone extends a bit into Venezuela and Columbia).
It all seems to work now, and I'm chugging along setting up missions and so forth.

Hi guys,
The main problem is the ref points,to have an extreme definition of the no fly zones i had put many ref points,
they were already heavy on cmano and in cmo create a slowdown.
very soon i will fix it..the excellent definition of the no fly zones will be lost but the problem of slowing down the scenario will be solved.

remove them or just un-highlight them

Yup it's the reference points. I initially said it ran fine and that was because I tested Russia only. When I selected USA, my frame rate turned to molasses.
