Tooting your own horn over your 20 years of wargaming experience doesn't impress anyone here. Have 46 years of wargaming experience under my own belt as quite a few others here do as well. I'm another one. Me too, in fact I'm sad to say that I beat those years hands down, I started with Avalon Hill in 1965. That's almost 55 years ago....damn I'm an old fart.... nothing to brag about. I still remember my first Midway game (which I still have) in which I got SMASHED as the US player!!! Been loosing great games ever since. Priceless. I was taught wargaming starting in 1973, my junior year of high school, by a guy I met in school, who became my lifelong best friend, and handed me my rear end in game after game after game for a very long time before I began to hold my own. Avalon Hill was the order of the day, with my first game being Blitzkrieg. SPI was big as well, but the way they rushed out a game every month in the magazine, that would be followed the next issue by a 5 page erratta correcting all the things they got wrong in the rush to publish, including missing combat results tables, led to them being labeled SPI Madness. AH just had more polish to their games. Oh, and I'm actually not counting games like Battleship, Stratego, Broadsides and Hit the Beach or my start would have actually been about a decade earlier.
