I've succesfully joined a PBEM game as the allies. After the Axis turn, my opponent hasended his turn. I have then been able to complete my turn (and even save it to the server before ending the turn). Yet everytime I try to end the first turm I get a message "PlayerNext is NOT in this game" .... Connection Error [29].

The game will not move onto the next turn. Please help?

Sorry to hear about the trouble and can you send me the challenge ID? This can be seen by mouse hovering over the challenge and I can then try and roll back the turn to see if that will help.

I believe this game has been deleted, but I'll setup another one and if it has the same problem (all have so far), I'll let you know the game ID. Do you know what the error means?

Ok, sounds good and let me know. For the error it seems to be a mismatch with likely the login credentials and what the game thinks the next player for the next turn should be. If I can look at the challenge ID number I can provide more feedback based on a further inspection/investigation of the turn and players for the turn off of the server.

The challenge ID is: one six nine five one seven (weird...everytime I tried to post the ID with actual numbers it blocked it saying something about telephone numbers??).
This is a new game setup, but the same problem occurs everytime.

Thanks for the info and it is showing me that the next player would be GlenGDN, is this what shows in the upper right hand corner of the PBEM Lobby screen?

Does this also match the PBEM username in your SC3.ini file, at the bottom of the file, typically found here:

C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWII - World at War

No the PBEM user name in the Sc3 file is different, it shows my email address.

Try changing it to GlenGDN in the SC3.ini file and let me know if that then works for you?

Just managed to try the Game with GlenGDN is SC£.ini file, but the same problem.

I'm going to re-install the game and try again...if that doesn't work I'll be back for more solutions.

Not sure then as there seems to be some sort of issue between your username and whatever the server thinks it should be looking at. Best bet then is to try and contact Matrix Support to see if they can help and point them to this thread as well for further information/background on the problem.

Hope this helps,
Hubert

I don't think the problem was with my connection, as I've now been successful playing with another opponent.

It appears that with my first opponent, the game didn't recognise his ID when uploading the game, as I got the message "PlayerNext is NOT in this game"
This opponent has checked that his username in the SC3.ini file, and it all matches.

Have you any other ideas how to solve, otherwise I'll post this on the matrix forum?

Hi GeeBB,

If I remember correctly, at the time I looked at the challenge on the server I believe it was your turn next which would have then been consistent with the 'PlayerNext is not in the game' message and me thinking it had something to do with the associated ID on the server.

To be honest at this point I don't really remember for sure but if you are able to get it working with another opponent, have you tried again since then with the previous opponent that you had issues with?

Was your previous opponent able to play with anyone else as well?

All of that is helpful information and outside of that I have very little control over the server other than to interact with it by having the game send the files and the server responding with the applicable files back. I have some limited control panel access that gives me some additional info, but no control over the backend at all.

If you still have issues then yes, at this point it is best to contact Matrix Support for further help.

Hubert

Yes, I did try again with my original opponent, and the problem was the same.
