I installed this mod and the weather looks fine on my end.

Could be that specific terrain.png is correct and causing problems. But it shouldn't affect weather.
Could be permissions (wild guess here).
Maybe AV is thinking it's a virus?!

But I got no errors.

Mod is fine, weather shows up, the issue was that we were looking at the first week or so of the campaigns which actually have no adverse weather at all by design.

Hope you now can take the time to finish up your mod Magpius, it certainly looks good from what I've seen.

Absolutely.
Given your enthusiasm, any requests or comments will be taken on board.
Some bits can't be changed. Like Font style or colour, but I intend to make this look as much like cardboard and paper as possible.
and I lost count of how many hours I played this one.

Oh great to see you continuing the project, I love the look of the old school SPI and AH titles, I can almost smell the musty cardboard maps :)

Thanks Alvaro for the ability for the light or dark text, will help greatly.

Changed to very basic symbols.
Naval Surface Units and Sub visible near Kiel Canal. (Blame C.M.A.N.O for the navy symbols).
Air Attack and Tactical Air on display north east of Stettin.

Went from NATO symbol to icons.
(Again a big shout out to A.S. for his ongoing support to us all).

I ALWAYS used a scalpel to cut out my counter sets.
Sharp pointy corners!
Hated people who nail-clipped their counters' corners.

Files now available in post #1
You will need to open your scenario in the editor to update the map to dark text and save.
(This option currently available in the latest beta, but in general update soon).

I like the round counters for Air, and I think I'd go back to the normal HQ graphics instead of the flags, just my own taste. I like the map, excellent work. I see the hills and mountains have changed from the solid colors, still getting used to them.

I think I can tweak the counters for my own personal taste but I don't think I"d change anything when it comes to the map, it looks really good and everything has a really nice cardboard feel for sure.

Magpius, which unit mod are you using above that has the aircraft units using circles? Thanks.

Also, is there a way to edit the names to Dark text for campaigns already in progress? I can only get it to work if I start a brand new campaign.

Units are PHalen's unit mod.
Unless you can open an ongoing editor, I suspect not.

Re: round counters, I can't ever remember punching out round cardboard markers from the sheet.

Thanks for the info, as for the round cardboard counters, Avalon Hills classic game "Luftwaffe" featured round counters and actually looked pretty good. The map for that game is about as plain and old school as you can get but very effective and easy to read.

Hey Monkie, I know I went rogue with the hills terrain, but I found the solid brown a little too dominant. Will eventually try some variations and post up tweaks, but for the moment, have actually started playing this; now I have it looking okay.
Can't say I ever played Luftwaffe. But the round and hexagonal counters on Schwerpunkts games are pretty cool also.

The map looks great, I've been playing it for several turns now and have been enjoying it very much. The hills terrain looks just fine.

Isn't that a W&P (old AH boardgame) style map ?

Thanks.
If you do use it, remember to edit the scenarios so the map text is dark, not light.

(Current version a little lighter than original posted, also with country control overlay switched off).

Probably the best one out there. Sadly I lost the older version with the thinner borders and the old watercolor, witch I preferred. Any way to get these now?
