ORIGINAL: zakblood they said the same about 3D TV's, then again that also died a death Don’t care about what others say, just like i don’t care much for 3D TV, but playing a good racing sim with VR is something that I (emphasis on my personal view and experience) find pretty mind blowing, especially something with good physics like iRacing, but also something like RFactor2, Assetto Corsa, Dirt Rally, KartKraft etc. When I play the Il2 Stalingrad-series or DCS in VR IMO it is a very different experience, and I have been playing those games for decades. Technology is not 100% there, more horsepower and higher resolution needed, but is already very enjoyable as is, IF you like the genre. I am not a VR zealot, but IMO it is the most significant advancement since 3d accelerated graphics cards. Not for everyone, not for every genre etc. But I am NOT trying to win anyone over, nor the opposite... To each his own and have fun while you are at it. @Zev, have fun with your new toy. Please tell us what YOU think afterwards.
