Battle of Britain II - Wings of Victory
Gary Grigsby's Eagle Day to Bombing the Reich

I also built a new ...erm... PC for the trying out of Virtual Reality. Surprisingly 'She who must be obeyed' did not divorce me. ;)

Cheers

Jev

Don’t care about what others say, just like i don’t care much for 3D TV, but playing a good racing sim with VR is something that I (emphasis on my personal view and experience) find pretty mind blowing, especially something with good physics like iRacing, but also something like RFactor2, Assetto Corsa, Dirt Rally, KartKraft etc.

When I play the Il2 Stalingrad-series or DCS in VR IMO it is a very different experience, and I have been playing those games for decades. Technology is not 100% there, more horsepower and higher resolution needed, but is already very enjoyable as is, IF you like the genre.

I am not a VR zealot, but IMO it is the most significant advancement since 3d accelerated graphics cards.

Not for everyone, not for every genre etc.
But I am NOT trying to win anyone over, nor the opposite...
To each his own and have fun while you are at it.

@Zev, have fun with your new toy.
Please tell us what YOU think afterwards.

if we all liked the same thing, world would be quite boring, so glad someone likes and plays it, girlfriends lad had it on a console, was fun for a while, i played, but the games were a bit repetitive and the gear too heavy, played a shooting game on a kind of roller coaster, no idea of the game, so yes have fun with the new toy, remember i'm old
