So the update has indeed changed alot. Firstly within about 15 mins of starting there are missiles everywhere. Unfortunately I'm finding it difficult to deal with them all and this is having some knock on affects. Al-Mussaanah has been hit so fast that I have lost some F22s while they are still loading out and can't take off.
The carriers have held out ok so far but there has been a massive effort to sink them. Some of the missiles are in the air from the Russian SAG before I can locate them and also I suspect from some of their subs.
I am trying to counter this but the air attacks are just taking alot of my time and mean I can't get looking at the Georgia mission at all.
It's a tough nut now.

Also noted is the price you have to pay to use the Ohio.
Also did you change the SV-22s on the LHAs? The previous version had refueling capable ones but they seem to be gone now?

Mmmm no, I don't think I did. My update may have been before the last CMO update (don't quote me on that) and loadout databases may have shifted. I will check it and come back at you.

Status: offline 		I also figured out the problem with the fighter missiles. Mine jeep fire at about max range and then running out. Asked on discord earlier so I have changed the WRA so they fire at 50nm. Have done this for all AMRAAMS. it's a good premise.
I'll have a couple of suggestions for you later tonight. Have changed a couple of things on my version to see if it makes a difference.

Status: offline 		OK, Couple of suggestions.
Firstly I haven't finished the mission yet. I'm currently about 5 hours in and so have run it to this point about 4 times.
The mission to sink the Russian SAG is very difficult. The 3 Sergey Gorshkov FFG's have high powered anti air defence lasers. I have been trying to get a strike through them with no luck. I even did an experiment where I used 8 B-1s with AGM-158C LRASM. 196 missiles only got me 3 kills. I would suggest for balance cutting it down to 1 or even 2 of these and have the earlier 2017 variant in there to maintain you fleet numbers.
This is just a thought for balance. A player could launch the B-1s and every FA-18 in 2 strike groups and still only have a small chance of hitting. This will burn both alot of scenario time and munitions that the player needs to complete missions later.

The SV-22 on the LHAs can do refueling but it needs the refueling kit to be available. I added it to mine. That being said you could put a couple of tankers on Masirah and remove a couple from Diego Garcia to keep the balance.

I have also move my ships starting position back slightly to allow setup time before rounds start flying. This also allows time for the battlefield to populate. I don't know what the story in the book says but the Russians launch a strike seemingly straight away and thats whith my ships on EMCON.

I would also consider adding mor LRASM missiles to the base that the B1s fly from. Give the player a choice of loadout for their 2nd shots.

Just a couple of thoughts so far.

Yeah I been looking it up. Laser dazlers in these FFGs are not even expected to destroy solid objects but to confuse, cause damage to a pilot etc... at least that is their claim.

Good wee scenario. Really enjoyed it and looking forward to the next version. I'll post my loses/expenditures below. Some suggestions to consider.

I lost several of my F-22s in the SSM strike on Al-Mussanah. That's fair enough. I rebased the survivors at Masirah. Having some bombs there for the F-22s would have meant I could have kept them in the bomber business instead of having to shift them to Air patrols.

I think adding several tankers to Masirah is a good idea. I lost several aircraft as they ran out of fuel. Using Hornets and a couple of SV-22s helped but I have lots of aircraft in the air and eventually some of them ran out. This became especially true once I was launching F-18s off the carriers for strikes in Iran and I had the majority of my aircraft in the air. Also I believe when the 'we have lost contact with some ships' part fires I think some aircraft had problems landing and they also ran out of fuel.
In all honesty I rebased the tankers I had in Diego Garcia to Masirah but some more would have been very helpful. Also having tankers means that the Tomcats that appear late on can be brought into use depending on the distance when they are noticed at.

In a previous version there had been a message about India's intentions. This message did not appear on this run through. The first I knew about India's aggression was when they sank the USS Providence. Needless to say Their fleet was put down as quickly as I could arrange it to free up the right flank. When the carrier was taken down i then got a message telling me that India was out of the fight. Several hours later the ASM strike from India was launched. Potentially a rude surprise especially after the 'India is finished' message.

Potentially adding another drone to Al-Mussanah would be helpful but this is primarily in case the ASM strike destroys the 2 on the ground.

I would consider adding some more LRASM missiles to the B-1 base. This would give the player some flexibility in what way they would like to rearm and use the bombers.

If I think of anything else I'll add it here but as I said that was a good and fun mission and really enjoyed it. Gonna have to order the books up when I finish my current series.
