My wife's work was shut down, and my youngest son's college. My work hasn't been affected to this point, because we're a small office and nearly all work is done electronically. That may change soon, as ripple effects will spread in all kinds of unexpected ways. For instance, what if the company that prints the magazine shuts down? What if all printers shut down for a time? Etc. x 5,000. Since we live in a semi-rural area, and since most of my favorite leisure activity is reading and outdoors activities, I'm able to do a lot of things that I enjoy. I'm doing a lot of outdoors things (running, hiking, mountain biking, birding) and a lot of reading. But my sideline teaching has been eliminated. And our church, where we spend much time and have many friends, is closed. In our area, and I presume nearly everywhere, there's a sense of everyone in this together, whether we're affected immensely or not at all.
