hello and well done for this game which takes up (with new mechanisms like strategic resources) the consideration of oil initiated by CEAW in 2007

oil being very important would it be possible to implement the event corresponding to German – Soviet Commercial Agreement (1940)?
Thus Germany received in 17 months over 900,000 tons of oil
(+ 1,600,000 tons of grain and 140,000 tons of manganese ore)

1 turn = 2 weeks = each turn = automatic delivery from the USSR of 26,000 ton of oil

I do not know the scale of your game: but if 1000 tons = 1 point of oil then that would give Germany +26 of oil / turn for 37 turns!

in the same way you could consider implementing an event for the looting of French oil reserves

From September 1939 to the end of March 1940, France imported 4,129,000 tons of oil from Iraq.
And the German will therefore plunder what remains after operations in 1940 = 754,000 tonnes.

(Detail source: United States Strategic Bombing Survey, Oil report. = At the end of June 1940, the booty amounted to 245,000 tons of aviation gasoline, 309,000 tons of motor gasoline and 200,000 tons of diesel.)

How many people know that because of the lack of oil, Wehrmach was the horse-drawn throughout the war?
example barbarossa, yes 600,000 vehicles for the invasion but also 750,000 horses

every drop counts :)
this is why these 2 events (not negligible) would be interesting

thanks for making the game I was waiting for :)

NOTE : I just bought the game also if these events exist sorry

Welcome to the game. Germany already receives 10 oil points each turn from USSR.

But, I do not know if any further modification is done during 1940 for the German – Soviet Commercial Agreement.

For France, it could be a good idea to give some oil in addition to the production points gained by the armistice.

I believe I did place in a French looting event.

There is no oil in your event only production.

thanks for your answers

Germany already receives 10 oil points each turn from USSR
I don't know if that is equivalent to the German - Soviet Commercial Agreement but it's very good

There is no oil in your event only production
Germany needs to plunder the oil reserves left by France and in fact this is what happened
it would be really good to implement it = boost for the germany

I also saw in a post "Oil refinery" that Germany over time built synthetic fuel plants
Therefore
I loaded the 1939 script and I saw 2 of them
I loaded the 1944 scenario and I saw 7 of them !
congratulations for taking all these elements into account!

otherwise in your opinion how much Germany can it give to Italy fy turn, for example? 10% 15% 20% of his production ?

In fact, not really, playing as Allies, you will see that, in the game, France has a stockpile almost empty at the end of Fall Gelb. Even if I know, this was not the reality. So giving a fix oil amount due to the armistice can bring an historical touch but this is not really needed.

You will have to learn to save your oil every turn.

It really depends on your strategy. Do you want to move and attack with the Italian navy? If yes, you will need to send plenty of oil. If no, you can send them the minimum for their air/land units.

Alvaro, could you consider adding this?

Germany dismantles the Maginot Line for 50 production points.
Germany captures the French oil reserves for 15 oil points.

This is true it gives a historical touch and 15 oil points is not much.

FOR INFORMATION:

romania delivered to germany
in 1944 (until August)
1,915,000 t of oil
fortunately for production in 1944 in Germany for synthetic oil 3,975,000 t

so a small factory (10 oil?) at Nagykanizsa (South East on the shores of lake balaton) would be a good proportion (600,000 t)

as an indication romania delivered to Italia 60,000 t per month (which had only 220,000 t of reserve = 1 month of consumption)

which means that its ships no longer have oil to go to sea !

Maybe 10 oil at Nagykanizsa is too much for the balance of the game?

5 might be enough?

Historically Germany used oil for civilian purposes too. Don't give them too much oil.

yes it is true !

but i wish cut off the tap of civil oil from 1939 (the total war was launched historically only after Stalingrad in February 1943 therefore too late)

this is why 5 oil on Nagykanizsa seems to me to compensate at the same time for the production of hungary and at the same time let me master the decision of the supply or not of the civil oil
