Interesting - the Betty numbers attacking Soerabaja were dwindling daily and got below 12, but suddenly on May 20th they went back up to 18 Betties. I guess the AI doesn't replace losses every turn. You are getting a lot of Zero kills too, because they are escorting Betties. The AI should be using them to sweep but I guess that routine was too hard to program.

I think it's some sort of weekly replacement cycle. I am now (and from now on) playing with Hard setting, with Historical, AI just cannot handle it's logistics.

Dick Bong in Soerabaja is killing Japanese nicely. Also Welch of PH fame is there in other P-38G squadron.

DEI seems to be doing well, though I am constantly sacrificing small xAK/xAKLs to keep it in supply. Will fly squadron of B-24s to Soerabaja to bomb nearby Betty bases.

From Taung Gyi, I like to send units along the back road that loops around to the hex SE of Chiang Mai. Good way to cut the railway and assault Chiang Mai or isolate it while other units come from the west or NW.

Air units will reinforce Guadalcanal soon. After securing Tulagi, SWPac and SoPac will invade rest of Solomons.

Forces in PM will be reinforced and will attack Buna and other IJA/IJN bases in PNG. Milne Bay and Rossel I. will be amphibiously invaded when intelligence of enemy strength is gathered.

From Taung Gyi, I like to send units along the back road that loops around to the hex SE of Chiang Mai. Good way to cut the railway and assault Chiang Mai or isolate it while other units come from the west or NW.

Primary objective is to reestablish connection to China, supplies are scarce there.

I'll see if I have enough brute strength to take Rangoon and Pegu quickly.
