I agree - he lost a lot more than you - loaded troop transports. The Japanese need all those troops to be able to handle all the places they must invade in the first four months. Now they must leave unconquered isles in their rear or cut short their expansion.

1. Submarines are doing OK.

2. It's going to be soon end for Philippines.

3. Dutch troops are suffering from tank panic, having really no good means to stop those.

4. After more Zero CAP has arrived, air attacks in DEI are getting more costly for Allied air.

%. Might be end for Allied naval soon in DEI, because more Betties and Nells are appearing..

BTW, this is my normal advance submarine base ship completion in red:

Since I don't play PBEM, vs. AI as Allies, I have found Darwin, Brisbane, Midway and Adak I. good places to have that sort of base.

AS of course, AR and ARD (not all scenarios have ARDs). Then you can repair most damage without sending sub back to shipyard.

Obviously vs. human (and sometimes even vs. AI) you might get your port hammered...badly, unless with strong CAP.

I'm enjoying reading this AAR. It seems like the AI is giving you a good game. I've done some PBEM, but these days I'd prefer to play against the AI, and I think I'd prefer to play the Allies. I assume this is the scenario setup you'd recommend?

Thanks for posting!

AI is better when it is playing Japan, since very complex late war amphibious landings are bit beyond it's scripted capabilities.
