In the east we play defense in the north, but in the south we keep the pressure up, mauling the 25th tank corps and fording the river.

Germany mobilizes two new air units which are immediately railed east.

Italy builds a mountain corps, Finland builds a division.

Turn 102: July 16, 1943

Spain loses a corps in England. The Soviets attack our 2nd Storm infantry and for once we win the defensive fight.

The situation in the UK is bad, really really bad. We knock back the UK 30th armour, but it's costly.

In the east we create a small pocket with two armies, including the elite 2nd Siberian army.
Soviet losses are one tank corps shattered, one army shattered, one army surrendered.
But make no mistake, the fighting is heavy and so are our losses.

Turn 103: July 30, 1943

The Allies push forward in England, and I start to wonder if it is at all possible to hold out until fall.

We set up a nice counter-attack on the US 3rd Armor, but I fear our days in the UK are numbered.
All plans to send further reinforcements are cancelled. Instead we are looking at how to get our
troops over to the mainland. For now, everyone stays.

In the east the Soviets retake Vitebsk and shatter the corps there. An exposed Hungarian corps also shatters.

SillyFlower probably expect us to rush forward in the south now.
But no, we are headed to Kaluga. Is it just me or are the Soviets looking tired?
Those units in front of Tula and Moscow are looking awfully weak.
Will SillyFlower press the attack? Rush to defend?
Don't miss the exiting season finale coming to a forum near you soon!

PS The pocket surrendered.

Turn 104:

Attack it is! Three German corps shatter, including the 2nd Storm (with heavy artillery).

In a counter-attack we shatter the elite 1st Guard Tank easily enough, but can't seem to get a good
setup on anything else.

In the west we are just trying to hold on as long as possible. A few minor units ship out.

Spain builds a division (to merge with a small corps).

What does the Axis vs Allies VP look like at this point? Quiet in North Africa?

Turn 105: August 27, 1943

A small corps and a division shatter in England, in the east the 5th Panzer shatters.

I honestly don't understand why my units shatter that much, the attack odds aren't that
great.

It's unfortunate but we have to evacuate England. Holding it would have required a large corps
in every single port (including Ireland). And it really does not feel like the UK was hurt much
by the occupation.

In most cases because your opponent is creating combat situations where they cannot retreat and if forced to do so shatter in the alternative. Mastering this little trick is an important part of the game.

I always always leave openings to retreat.

With properly sequenced attacks and mech forces, those retreat corridors can be denied. Also with paras. Sillyflower has mastered this. Heck, it works for Germans too, especially in France.

Turn 106: September 10, 1943

We lose a small corps in Liverpool. The Soviets make a couple of attacks but for once they fail miserably.

I am really disappointed we have not been able to hold on to England. I should have garrisoned it and Ireland much stronger,
at the expense of Barbarossa.

The evacuation of England is almost complete. Rain has come to the east front.

September 1943 and a 1000 VP lead, a win on points cushion but three major fronts is just too many. Pullout of NA to strengthen the places which matter more?

Three Axis units + 2 interceptors currently in Africa, but yes I'm ready to pull back if I have to. 1944 is going to be rough (it always is).

Forgot to turn off upgrade for Yugoslavia, so they spent all their production on upgrades. Will try again next turn, Germany keeps sending aid.

Western defenses are slowly taking shape. Of course the Allies could land anywhere.
