Related to the "free roads" the AI receives.

On the unfriendly planets thus far I have seen that you cannot grow food (you need domes) and you need special suits and radiation buildings, wildlife can attack you, etc.,

My questions are - (1) is the AI effected by any planet's environmental condition? In other words, does the AI receive free food, oil, water, power, etc..? And (2) is the AI ever attacked by the violent wildlife or does it only attack human players?

I ask because I was wondering if a player selected a planet with a perfect environment, is that easier than playing on an unfriendly planet because the AI does not suffer the conditions?

PS - I am pretty sure I have seen on YouTube mixed units of AI attackers and AI wildlife attackers in the same hex going after the human player. I do not believe I have ever seen a creature attack the AI.

I think I've seen the NPCs take on Minors or Majors - but I'm not 100% sure. The AI is under the same supply constraints as the player so also needs to balance food etc.

You can get raider/critter units occupying the same hex as long as they originate from hte same minor regime. All regime types fight with each other same as they do with a player.

Interestingly less dangerous worlds mean Militia (including raiders/farmers etc) is weaker because they don't have envirosuits which give some protection. If you have big lifeforms they can get pretty extreme, I had a cloud forest game which had a huge amount of 20m worms which were able to go 1:1 with heavy tanks and usually win.

I was initially a bit underwhelmed by the wildlife.

UNTIL my last planet where there were nearly a dozen different types of hostile life-form, including some 12 foot tall t-rex/"tyranid warrior" style monsters that could take on nearly anything I could throw at them. 100 of them were bad enough but they came at me in stacks of 2000+, and the large planet I was playing on had seemingly endless amounts of them.

So beware of forest planets!!!
