No. Kinda wish it was. Also for battles during AI turns.

Thirded. Very useful learning the game and learning the capabilities of new units / formations / weapons.

In case you didn't know, there's an option under PREFS to disable auto-combat which pauses the fight before each round, and allows you to click into the next round. I found it very useful to learn the mechanics of combat at a manageable pace.
