Er, for example check the total remaining, divide it by the amount you extract each round, get an estimate of how long it will take to deplete the resource? And most likely, do the math again when you upgrade your mine? (I lack experience past early game and can only suppose an upgraded mine extracts more of the resource each turn. Edit: Strike this, it's easily verifiable in game, it does, so you'd need to do the math again.) I don't think you need to factor in the ease of mining thing, since it's probably what determines the amount of the resource the mine is extracting each game turn. To give an actual example, I have a private oil well level 1 extracting oil from an hex where ease of mining is Lvl 6, the amount of oil left 7 042. The well extracts 490 units per round (from which 140 units end up in my regime's pockets which is irrelevant for our purpose). By plugging the numbers into a calculator I can estimate, provided the private sector does not upgrade the well in the meantime and I do not nationalize it which would, I'm pretty sure, augment the extraction rate - it will take a little more than 14 turns to deplete the deposit. That's when I realize I'm glad I took the time to walk through it because it's not very much and I will have fuel issues soon, so thanks for asking.
