I have only just started with Lua in Command.
I was wondering if the API can be used to automatically deploy sonobuoys at specific locations/times?

Assuming you mean like triggering the drop from a aircraft hmm, I don't think so atm, I could be wrong though. Good question either way. I know you can't create\spawn the weapon itself (yet). There maybe some sort of way you can fake it to get a drop though, depending on what you're doing. Like scripting putting the unit into a mission who's generated ref-points for a asw mission are relative to the aircraft itself and only extend a nm or two behind and infront of the aircraft, combined with disabling\enabling mission active state when you want it to drop or not, though it wouldn't be very precise.
