I recently started a game vrs the AI. I was Allied and gave the Japanese 200% commitment and started on the "hard" setting.

After some early non lethal skirmishes the only offensive move the comp made was Gili Gili. I played until the end of JUly just building up a huge force to go over on the offensive with and the AI wasnt doing squat.

I decided there must be something wrong and had a look at the AI dispositions.

The computer had 8 carriers placed in 6 task force groups. Most of the groups were one CV, CA and 4 or 5 DDS patrolling the most idiotic areas.

There have been times when the AI is a lot smarter then that and much more agressive overall.

Does anyone know the best setting to put the AI on to have a somewhat challenging game while learning the ropes before PBM?

Thanks in advance.

There were several AI strategies in BTR 12 o’clock high, some were defensive, some offensive, after 5-10 turns one can assume what AI is going to do and… restart campaign or continue. I was restarting 2-3 times before AI got the right offensive doctrine. Unfortunately in UV AI is far more artificial and much less intelligent. What ever you do this cretin is not going to try to win, or may be he knows that it’s all hopeless.
