I've found if I have lots of ships showing up on the ship repair screen, the game gets v-e-r-y slow cycling the ships through the repair modes.

It can take 3+ minutes to go from readiness to pierside.

Any secret game switches or anything to fix this?

Thanks.

Can you post screenshots of what the sequence is where you experience this lag? I've never had anything like that happen to me.

Are you doing a global queue of all ships then going to "ships under repair" and giving orders from there? I have never ever done that. I go to the port in question and then the specific ship and make the appropriate changes. It's highly unusual for me to do that very often at all. I sometimes do the global queue to spot ships that need repair that I was unaware of, but then go to the port and give orders. I pay no attention to the list in the ops reports of ships that can't be repaired in various ports, it's full of ships I'm not about to send home to a bigger port, they're still operational. Waste of time. I also ignore the TFs that don't have enough fuel to complete the mission because usually that just ain't true, the fuel just needs to be reallocated which happens automatically anyway. If there's a TF out of fuel alert I say "oops" and do something about that. There's an indefinite number of ways in this game that you can just spin your wheels without accomplishing a darned thing. Avoid them.

I don't filter anything on the screen -- just display everything needing repair.

It's just the screen where you can set ships to Readiness, Pierside, Repair Ship or Shipyard. Cycling through these is painfully slow.

Not sure if it's a computer setup or some game launch thing.

I have Win10 and the game otherwise runs fine.

You just have to put up with it. This will happen if you have many, many ships under repair at the same port.

Having several dozen ships upgrading in port at the same time will result in the problem you're experiencing. The only thing to do is be aware not to allow many ships upgrading/repairing at the same time in the same port.

Figured...

Thanks, guys.

Most of my ships don't rate a full shipyard status, so doing a mass change on all of them to Pierside helps.

Well, after a botch excursion, it can't be helped sometimes.

I've got more of this problem in my game with SierraJuliet. Stuff's mostly stable in my Castor Troy match.

It does the same thing for LCUs (Combat,Rest,Move, etc). I wonder if after a change the list refreshes itself. If so, that can take time. I've seen if you look at the same list and filter it type it speeds up the process. But I like to go to the unit and see what's the situation around it.

I suspect not many players use the Universal list of all LCUs to do routine things, rather they go around the map and just look at the ones at bases/hexes they are interested in. No 'slow refresh' that way.

Correct. Which is precisely why it takes time when the list is very large.

I have always had a sort of memory leak in Pearl Harbor's ship repair screen on Dec 8, 1941, with a very slow response when clicking repair options.
