Xenofarm, to cold/hot to build?

When generating a planet with alien plants living in very hot or cold terain, you never seeem to be able to build a Xenofarm there. Perhaps the building is restricted despite the plant's temperature range?
Would be nice to get the temperature range for Terran/alien plants when trying to build it as well.

Could you check the version you started this game with. I think I did some work on this in one of the recent open beta's.
