The Soviet offensive started one or two turns earlier, but the sector had been quiet for the previous many months. The fort levels are probably low due to few Axis units being in the frontlines. Agreed Cavalry would be very effective in this area.

Status: offline 		End of turn in the North, west of Cherepovets. The Axis defenses are thinly held by the Finnish Army, and a major offensive is being launched by the Soviet Army. 2 Soviet Armies were transferred to this sector by rail.

Status: offline 		Finally some encirclements. Unfortunately, even though there is mud coming up, he will get a clear turn before you do meaning he may be able to launch a relief attack. Unless, of course, you can take them out during the mud, though that could prove difficult.

Status: offline 		On turn 122 the weather was an early blizzard in the North Soviet Zone and mud elsewhere.

Start of turn, in the Kharkov area, a German counterattack was successful in allowing the German units encircled south of Kharkov to escape, but the pocket north of Kharkov held.
