Status: offline 		The drive westward continues with the Red Army being only 70 miles from Kiev and 10 miles for Cherkassy, will the German Army continue retreating or make a defensive stand along the Dnepr?

Status: offline 		Cherkassy was captured this turn as the Soviet forces in the area started to cross over to the western bank of the Dnepr. Will the German Army make a defensive stand at the Dnepr river and risk a repeat of the historical Korsun pocket?

Status: offline 		Typical supply / fuel / ammunition levels at the beginning of the turn for a Tank Corp - not enough supplies seem to be arriving at forward units - I think the main reason is a lack of railyard factories (mainly due to the loss of Moscow and Leningrad) to transport the supplies and resources.

Status: offline 		Just southeast of Cherkassy, a historical recreation of a pocket similar to the Korsun pocket is attempted by the Soviet Army, 7 German Divisions, 1 Brigade and 1 Regiment are encircled in the pocket. Quite a few German mechanized units are still operational outside the pocket and a German counterattack to open the pocket is expected next turn by Stavka.

Status: offline 		Turn 139, Snow in the North Soviet Zone and Blizzard in the Central and South Soviet Zones.

The recapture of 2 Moscow city hexes last turn resulted in a 15% increase in the railyard factories, from 209 to 245 - which should help the supply situation of the Soviet Army once the railyards are repaired.

Status: offline 		Using all available mechanized reserves in the area the German Army counterattacks and successfully opens the pocket where 9 German units were surrounded near Korsun/Cherkassy routing 3 Soviet Tank Corps in the counterattack. The 9 surrounded German units then attempt to escape westward to the safety of the German frontlines.

Status: offline 		Southeast of Korsun/Cherkassy 2 Panzer Divisions and 1 German Infantry Division were unable to escape the pocket. Further Soviet Forces were sent to the area and their chances of escaping the pocket are dismal.
