There are a surprising number (at least a dozen or so...) of people who registered in the first half of 2000 and are still active (ie have posted sometime this year).

Incredibly dedicated mob aren't we...

This is a sort by joined date of the member list. Not too many people have been here longer than you!

Do the numbers at the bottom mean that there have been 343 red cards?

Unfortunately it has not been completely smooth sailing over the last two decades. A couple of strong opinions have attracted the attention of the moderators but thankfully very rarely.

The number of bans has probably been inflated bu a few spammers that somehow managed to sneak into here of all places!!!

The 'Genuine Fake Passports' thread was classic, we had fun with that one for weeks!!

20 years! So when are you eligible for parole?

Never, it's a life sentence.

Well, pardon me...

Nope, no pardon for you.

I have not fired a rifle since I was in high school - we had a rifle team - pretty sure those are non-existent today, at least where I grew up - Massachusetts. I feel the itch from time to time to go shooting (paper). but the wife will hear nothing of it, even though I think 80% of my neighbors are armed. But she has had the good fortune not to have met our resident bear up close and personal. I'm just happy the 500-600 pound bear is afraid of my 20 pound mutt......

edited to add % to 80.

I thought that was Lousy-ana.

I remember a movie, I think it had Robert Redford as a new prison warden, where the prisoners had rifles in the guard towers.

I had an account a few years before I retired (2002) that disappeared and I had to make another a couple of years later. I don't remember the year but joined before Matrix published anything. only thing on their plate at the time was pacwar and the steel panthers rework i think. I also think war in the east was being discussed or was underway at the time, was a major fan of pacwar and steel panthers so I didn't follow WITE to closely but I did download it when it became available.

A measly 15 years for me. Working on getting a new AE game started though, so maybe I'll be around a little more again.

Roger Neilson is a good exemplar of the quirks of the Matrix forums. Under that name he joined in 2001 but his identity has been gobbled up on two subsequent occasions so that he currently appears as the third in the dynasty with a much more recent "joining" date.
