Battle of the Arabian Sea June 28th, A week ago I dispatched a force to blockade Karachi while carrier Division 1 and 4 retire to Singapore for upgrades. The Battleship force passed Bombay on the way to Karachi and spotted a force of allied cruisers in harbour, which immediately sortied to engage my TF. I'm not sure why dean was willing to engage me outside the range of his LBA, perhaps he was trying to bait me into range. Regardless of his motive a surface engagement ensued. Initial contacts were spotted at only 7k yards so the first engagement occurred at almost point blank range. It appears that Japanese Night fighting capabilities are still superb. The allied force did not have any surface search radar, and I imagine that played a key part in my victory.
