Wonder of wonders, the invasion is landing...any gun that can fire on the shore defenses is ordered to do so!

Not enough guns fired on the defenders...they were to busy firing on the Aussies.

Miri, Legaspi, Guam also fall...

Not enough troops land at Rabaul...but more is on the way. Just will have to sneak them in. Some support ships are arriving, and a fleet carrier is on the way.

Hey Lowpe , i know you used Ki-45's and later model Ki-43's on ground attacks with great success in your old games. Would you mind telling us what do you train them and what altitude you used them at ? IIRC you were using them at 100 feet , so strafing skill is obvious , do you also train them at Low Ground skill or is strafing skill good enough ?

Training them in strafe will help suppress local AA -- so that is good, but not always needed against the Chinese.

Training them in lowGround is mandatory as that is what really punishes the boots on the ground.

Training them in lowNav as an anti Fletcher force didn't really work against Fletchers as they have too much AA, but did work on some of the earlier Allied destroyers. Lilly DB work much better here.

Our Desron intercepted the British during the night, but never managed to close and only scored one hit...but during the morning we catch them again and leave them as burning wrecks...close to Davao.

30+ Kates bombed Colombo and scored one hit on an xap for heavy damage...but the dive bombers catch some juicy ships at Triv...they would like to report a murder.

Dec 15th, 1941

Take and land in several bases in northern New Guinea; sink most of the merchant fleet that fled Hong Kong; bomb Singers lightly to prevent forts, continue buildup for the attack on Singers; heavily bomb the Chinese...

A lone tank regiment continues the destruction of the 30th Chinese Corp...Chinese concentrating their forces at Sinyang.

This is the first I have looked at my r&d...my plan is to accelerate and get the A6M8 asap...so the rufes will jog down the zero line straight to M8. Remember, no HR.

15 days left in Dec and most of my factories should be fully repaired albeit at less than 30.

We currently have 92 Ha33 engines in the pools, and expanding that daily to the magical 500+ level.

This tactic will make for some scary late 42 fights in the air for the KB...potentially. Definitely not for the faint of heart!

Maybe suggest a change to the Rufe so it starts on 2/42 so a 30 point factory can be fully repaired . . .

A quiet turn, sink a few cargo ships - refugees from Hong Kong. Take Aitape in New Guinea. Bomb China, Singers, assembling forces for the taking of Singapore, invasion fleets sailing hither and thither...

The only non sub enemy task force spotted is a cargo convoy heading into Pearl...will try to intercept with the Iboats there tomorrow.

Swept Ceylon, but nobody came out to play...

China will fall fairly fast I believe...

Plane losses...no recorded ship losses despite hearing two go down during the replay.

Bombing Singapore at 13K...good damage on the base and a destroyed plane on the ground. Allies have had no chance to build forts here.

I have to track down where that Dinah got shot down, must have it at the wrong altitude.

The Oscar Ib was shot down escorting bombers into Singers...our sweepers were resting.

It is amazing to see the difference between this game and my other with NJP...we both decided to use the KB at Singers. I am focusing on taking Singers quickly, and have blockaded Ceylon, started on Luzon, grabbed Wake and invaded Rabaul. My pace is slower than NJP I think...

NJP went for the Dutch and then invaded Oz...

This turn there are several attacks in China...

The Palaembang invasion is gathering...

The Ceylon invasion is starting to assemble...

Forces around Rabaul are gathering...

Trying to avoid losses from a too aggressive start. Overall, I think I am doing ok...
