That is a little ways away from a Japanese body and fender shop as well.

End of July, 1942

Logistics of moving troops where they are needed is quite surprising this early, I am finding. I feel I should be pushing hard...but I am hesitant at finding targets worth the risk this early. I lack the small ships I want to risk forward this early...but still we making headway on numerous areas of Japanese Pacific ocean perimeter...there is another IJN destroyer force at Baker Island now...

In China another big fight...

Keep up the good work. You are showing how the Chinese do not need to fall like a house of cards . . .

Since I am reading and posting on both sides, I will not go farther than that . . .

I see you play with stacking limits. How do you prepare for Chungking defence? You may suffer both supply spoilage and overstacking there, if you put too many units/supplies there, especially since destroyed Chinese units arrive in Chungking.

I don't really plan on defending Chungking with more than about 80% of the stacking limit....and all but one HQc not there.

A surprise bombardment of Pago Pago...not much there seemingly.

Five IJA units are forcing a crossing into the rough terrain above Sian...troops are being bombed heavily, but only one corp is present but dug in (forts 4 I think). Could be ugly...

Not enough tanks in the pools to upgrade our Indian Armor in Paoshan...

Runway hits 14
Port hits 12
Port fuel hits 2

My guess, is that Japan will think the invasion is coming for Canton...having spotted the CLAA/AMC fast transport fleet to the east of Enderbury, although both fast transports are simply expanding our presence on Enderbury Island.

I might bring up the deathstar to provide cover, or I might not....maybe route the fast transports to Sydney Island.

I think there are disbanded ships at Baker in port that might form up and look to catch my DMS and APDx2 fast transport currently at Howland Island...so I probably will disband them into Howland for now.

Building another flying boat base at Nikunau.

Night Naval bombardment of Canton Island at 153,143

Japanese aircraft
no flights

Japanese aircraft losses
B5N2 Kate: 1 damaged

Allied Ships
CL Phoenix

DD Bagley

Japanese ground losses:

Those Lancers aren't around for long but you will like what it develops into . . .

The newer version of Lightning has a lower SR if I remember correctly . . .
It makes a better broom . . .

PDU off...so I think I will have one NF squadron that an be deployed, and at least one upgradeable P38F squadron is already in India...to be tested against the IJA concentrations at either Ceylon or Magwe.

Another P38 squadron, the E, is near Australia. Haven't used them offensively yet though.

Not really a lot of planes available because of the PDU off...

Check that date...check the tank divisions allocated -- that could be busy rampaging across India, Australia, or China....and then you realize it is the first attack on Singapore with their original leaders unchanged.

I think the empty hex just to the NW of your last Nth China battle is a mountain hex that is the best defensive terrain.

Our damaged R class battleship will exit the map this day with a little less than 60 flood damage, but only 2 system damage. She has done a great job of escaping India.

Our 2nd damaged R class, with only 30 flood damage, leaves Bombay today.

Hoping both will make Mombasa safely and from there to Cape Town.
