The IJA now will pivot and probe a different area to attack with their massed tanks...the star shows a slug of infantry and artillery that took Changsha headed for the front lines...the movement pip to the mountains is most likely a feint to get me moving off road or an attempt to cut the Changteh road.




PS: Interesting to note that the IJA has abandoned their siege of Lashio for now, and a 1-9 attack on Myitkina bodes well for the eastern Burma defense for now.

Status: offline 		Just kind of retreating here, sweeping the skies clear of IJAAF fighters, and started bombing a little. Handicapped by smallish air bases restricting the number of air operations I would like to pursue. Building up defenses to prevent paratroop landings from cutting retreat paths.

Still flying in supplies to China, and flying out from Lashio the excellent 66th Chinese Corp. I have gotten almost all the artillery and AA devices out, and about 12% of the troops. Doubt I can get them all out before the IJA threatens retreat. There is also another Chinese Division I am trying to fly out too...

Status: offline 		Really low intensity night bombing yielding some results. Best part is almost 0 losses so far (12 D, and 0 Es). Most of the Ds coming from daytime raids on Canton from Clark AFB. Pilots aren't really great yet, and of course recon is poor.

Status: offline 		Looks like Male is next on the invasion list...The Dutch CLAA will beat feet out of here, but the destroyers may tangle with the invasion force...can't decide if I do Tricomalee or Male. Thinking Tricom right now for the sheer audacity of it. There are several CVE and CVL heading for Tricom with the invasion fleet, 7 hexes away....so maybe next turn.

If you can't fly out all of the Chinese to Burma, walk them out. It's a very long trip through poor terrain, but it is still worth building up those large corps. Take a path 2 hexes away from any enemy to help from being spotted.

IME, their FA units can be suppressed by the 25 pounders of Aussie units. If you have enough Matilda, Stuart and Grant/Lee type tanks you might be able to negate his infantry advantage. Probably, they have not had enough time to build high level field forts yet?

I will be using every Aus Armored unit and the 193rd Tank, and the Marine Tanks if they make it in time...armored spearhead with the infantry following, so there will be a chance for a surprise encirclement, especially given weak recon, perhaps?

I will be happy just forcing him back and perhaps causing him more grief.

Status: offline 		Your armoured units should be able to move faster than his units so you might be able to beat him to Rockhampton or even the hex before the base by moving cross country. You could even try to move around Rockhampton and block that road up the coast. Medium and heavy bombers should help slow down his movement.

Any problems with invading with at Bundaberg or invading with a unit to block the coastal road above Bundaberg once you secure the inland road?

The Ceylon invasion continues, there is only two Indian brigades defending all of Ceylon, plus the static forces. A scant 11K supplies all told across the island and 0 fuel.

Japanese invaded Tricomalee with the 38th Division only and they got bombed from a size 4 air force with HQa, and the weak, poorly led 99th Brigade stopped the shock attack. Forts are 1 here...and 3 at Colombo.

Status: offline 		Allies really are hamstrung with a lack of recon early on, should have assigned more Blenheim squadrons to the role...but we are in footrace to escape.

17 days into March, we received only 4 replacement B26s, so their use has been really restricted.
