Turn 65. Axis. Feb 13, 1942. The Eastern Front. Army Group South. End of Turn.

1. Again this turn most of Germany's MPPs went to operational movements, reinforcements and upgrades.
2. They only new builds they managed were two Romania garrison with no frills (i.e., no upgrades).
3. Sadly, no heavy tanks yet.

Turn 65. Axis. Feb 13, 1942. Bismarck Archipelago & Solomon Islands. End of Turn.

1. The two amph headed to Rabual and the Solomons made it there. That's the good news. The bad news is that it's raining and they can't land.
2. The KB splits into two carrier division defending the two invasion transports.

Turn 65. Axis. Feb 13, 1942. Japanese Home Islands. End of Turn.

1. With everything going on I wasn't paying attention to the fact that I've emptied the Japanese Home Islands of EVERYTHING!
2. To say the least this is a bit distributing especially given that I really didn't noticed this until near the end of the turn, which meant Japan didn't have any MPPs left to start building a home defense.
3. Next turn, Japan will build 5 garrisons to seed this defense.
4. The emperor is completely undefended!

You may want to starve that Singapore garrison out by ensuring 2 of your combat ship are adjacent to each port. [Should only require 3]

Turn 67. Axis. March 13,1942. East Africa. End of Turn.

1. CW destroys the Abyssinia corps.
2. It's official, Italy is completely on the defensive in East Africa.
3. Looks like the CW means business.
4. Orders are to hold on all positions currently held and hold to the last man.

Turn 67. Axis. March 13,1942. East Med. End of Turn.

1. The RN did make an effort to knock steps off of the Rhodes garrison but not as strong as usual.
2. Also, where did the CW amphib go along with the RN?
3. I'm (also) a bit weak and spread out along the Adriatic Coast.
4. That worries me ...

2. And reinforcement and upgrade assuming they make it.
3. These two U-boats and the Italian sub Axum managed to sink 10 MPPs headed to the UK.

Turn 67. Axis. March 13,1942. The Eastern Front. Army Group North. End of Turn.

1. I guess technically the Finnish units close to Leningrad are part of Army Group North.
2. So, the Finnish front was quite with the attrition attacks on the Finnish corps actually attributed to this Army Group.
3. Army Group North does launch a couple of attrition attacks of their own knocking 3-steps off of a Soviet Corps 2-hexes South/Southeast of Leningrad.

Turn 67. Axis. March 13,1942. The Eastern Front. Army Group Center. End of Turn.

1. Also, despite the weather in the north, Army Group Center pushes forward, manages to capture Vyshny Volochyk and destroy a Soviet tank corps/army.
2. In the south, they manage to destroy a Soviet infantry corps, or army.

1. A Soviet corps south of Stalingrad is destroy and the hex captured, which establishes a German beachhead across the Volga.
2. The partisan that appeared in Voronezh two turns ago is finished off and Voronezh recaptured.
3. Won't overlook garrison of this city again!

Turn 67. Axis. March 13,1942. Production. Germany.

1. Still no heavy tanks built! Though Germany did bank (i.e., save) 61 MPPs for next turn.
2. It's boots on the ground that are called for, so Germany built a corps with all the frills (i.e., max upgrades possible) and 2 garrison with none of the frills.

Turn 67. Axis. March 13,1942. Production. Italy.

1. Italy builds a garrison with infantry weapons level 1.
2. Need more garrisons (i.e., boots) to defend the Italian and Balkan coastline.
3. Hopefully it's not too late?

Turn 67. Axis. March 13,1942. Production. Japan.

1. 3 garrisons are built (no frills) to begin the staffing of the woefully inadequate, heck missing, Home Island Defense Force.

Turn 67. Axis. March 13,1942. Home Islands. End of Turn.

1. The CV Zuikaku is recalled to the Home Islands to patrol the waters near Tokyo to provide the emperor some measure of defense until the Home Island Defense Force begins being stood up.
2. Also, a carrier division composed of the CV Akagi & Hiryu is just west of the central Pacific (i.e., Midway) to keep an eye on things there.
3. I must ask my readers to pardon the unforgivable sin of pairing the Akagi & Hiryu, and later the the Kaga and Soryu, for these carrier division. Sorry.
4. The Akagai/Hiryu carrier division will continue northwest towards to the Home Islands to keep a eye on this there until defenses can be shored up.
