Ultimately, it was the early mobilization of USSR and US, and hence, the MPPs that decided the fate of the war. However, it still took the Allies 2 and half years to turn the tide. But once the tide was turned, it would be turned back very quickly.

Here are some MPP graph of the more important majors. UK:

A look at the whole world at the end.

Notice there were still actions at Narvik, Port of Spain, South and East Africa, and Shikuka, that were not previously shown. Japan just landed in San Francisco on the last turn.

Thank you very much for sharing this state of the art game and AAR! Very interesting and educative at the same time. I enjoyed greatly your detailed analysis of the current war options and decisions.

Awesome AAR! Thank you for explaining strategy and tactics in World at War. Slitherine should be hiring the two of you for promotion.

You are an excellent writer Cpuncher. I enjoyed your introduction and the foreshadowing was great. Like a novel. I hope you keep writing.

i find it interesting that you appear to favour keeping your units together over leaving them entrenched in defensible positions

Presumably this allows you to switch and rotate weakened ones out of the line

Here it even looks like you have abandoned a fortified position in favour of this approach
